Okay, so here it is. 40 things I want to do this year. You see anything on this list that you want to join in on or you think you could help me out with, please let me know in the comments below – especially the ‘join in on’! Pay special attention to #40 – I’m looking for takers.
- Try paddleboarding
- Travel somewhere I’ve never been
- eat or drink 10 things I’ve never tried before
- Try driving a vespa (or similar)
- Go to an island
- Hike 40 miles of trails in Illinois
- Have 4 seasonal dinner parties
- Finish my novel
- lose 25% of body weight (boring but important!)
- Redo my bedroom
- Kayak or paddleboard in lake mich at sunset
- Kayak or paddleboard in lake mich at sunrise
- take an art class
- take a cooking class
- adopt a skincare routine (also boring but important!)
- go to an art opening
- Visit my grandparents. Learn something new about them
- see a play at Steppenwolf
- create a budget and stick to it for one month (super boring but important!)
- read 40 books (audio books count)
- send birthday cards to as many people whose birthdays and addresses I know (feel free to send me your info)
- go camping or glamping! Either one.
- grow vegetables
- go berry picking
- take a tour, any tour
- have a themed party
- 52 week self-portrait project
- go fishing
- spend an afternoon lounging at a pool sipping cocktails
- Meditate 40 days in a row
- learn how to swim with my face in the water
- go to a flea market
- Have a cooking contest throwdown with friends
- learn how to roast a chicken and not freak out about holding on to a carcass
- go swimming at night
- attend an outdoor concert
- make homemade ice cream
- sew myself something and wear it in public
- learn how to hula hoop
- help someone else reach a goal

You can do all of these things for sure! I want to climb on board with #2, #6, #22, and #24. If you don't mind my little tag-alongs for camping, that would be tons of fun. My New Year's Resolution was to stay in my pajamas all day and by 3pm, I caved and took a shower. I am clearly not as reflective nor as creative as you.

I'm obviously in for all the paddle boarding, art opening, theatre, fruits, veggies, fishing, swimming, etc. and so many others. But my most favorite of all is number 17.

Simona - YES! Im adding you to my will do this with me list for #2, #6, #33 and #24. lets get together soon and plan some adventures. And the year is young - you can still spend a day in your pjs. make it happen!

I could help and join you on 14 and 34. There's a class coming up at the Glenview Rec dept on how to roast a chicken, but also how to quarter a carcass! Yikes! Handholding should be allowed. Nice list Erin!

I can teach you to hula hoop, I am actually very good at it.
My birthday is 12/2 not telling you what year....Uncle Jim is 7/22, Katie 10/28, Jay 8/12 and Hillary 4/27. I remembered your mom 12/29 but was in Memphis watching Iowa State loae the bowl game they were in, and not able to get to a computer. Aunt Mary, the favorite one in Iowa
