oops. I've been pretty wrapped up in my other blogging adventure that I've neglected my original baby. It's like one of those dreams/nightmares where in your dream you're busy doing something when all of a sudden you remember that you have a baby!?! And that you left that baby somewhere?!? Have you ever had that dream? That's a sucky dream. So this is like that...only not so awful.
So what have I been doing? Mostly working on creating new ideas for my wellness coaching and therapy practice. I'm looking at office space, creating a wellness workshop series and writing my newsletter. Do you receive that newsletter? If not and you want a copy - send me your email! [email protected]
Lately there has been some fun:
A trip to San Francisco for a good friends wedding
:: the view from my balcony at the Hotel Del Sol
:: The amazing wedding location
:: the gorgeous bride & her groom
(more photos here if you're interested)
On my trip I gathered some new inspirations on life, love and friendship and began brewing ideas for new avenues to explore. More on that later when i'm ready.
I read Twilight after much stubborn hemming and hawing. My entire book club read and loved this young adult book about vampires in love and I didn't read it. But luckily I remembered that I was the same way about Harry Potter books and when I finally got around to reading them I was an insane fan attending midnight parties and the like. So I didn't wait as long this time. And, to no one's surprise, I was completely engrossed. I read the entire first book on my flight to San Francisco. And after purchasing the 2nd one at the LA airport...I read the 2nd one on the way home. I'm halfway through the 3rd book already. I am glad that I don't have a lot of obsessions. I would get nothing done.
And finally, what has officially ended my summer vacation. A sprained ankle. Yesterday while crossing a busy street carrying my 2.5 y.o. nephew I turned my foot stepping into a crack in the pavement. It hurt immediately, but then seemed to subside. About 3 hours later it swelled up and started throbbing. I went to the ER to make sure that I had not broken it (even though my sister explained that the late onset pain was pretty typical for a sprained ankle). I could barely put any pressure on it so I wasn't so sure. But she was right and after a night of ibuprofen, ice packs and elevation...it actually feels pretty good. I have an air cast on, but I can walk around my apt w/o crutches as long as I don't walk for too long. All that hullabaloo for not too much of a serious thing.
So I'm homebound today which is okay. I have things I need to get done and with a reason to avoid the temptation of leaving my home and wandering around the city running random errands - I might get a few things done.
Like write this post! Crossing first item off of to-do list.
I'm hoping to get back into this bloggety blog as we move into the fall. See you here soon!
love,
Erin
