We’re 2/3rds of the way to the fundraising goal! Now is the time to donate!!
This week I did the longest distance that I need to do pre-Grand Canyon. I’m still trying to decide which hike I’ll do at the canyon, but the one I’m leaning towards is 6.5 miles, which is about the distance I went today.
It was wet and rainy and windy this morning, but I went out anyways because I am hardcore and dedicated to the mission.
I did it for you, friends. I did it for you. And this is what it looked like:

Then last night I was treated to a surprise birthday dinner from some really lovely friends. I was completely surprised and confused by it all as my birthday is not until next week. Our table was decorated with candles and flowers, the wine was flowing and the food was good. When they brought the cake it seemed like the entire restaurant joined in to sing happy birthday to me – it was all I could hear. I’m pretty sure I forgot to make a wish, but I blew out all the candles in one try. It was a really nice night.
