I’m spending a few days this week at the Write-by-The-Lake writer’s retreat in Madison, WI. I’m aware what a luxury it is to get to do something like this and I’m doing my best to soak in as much as possible.

At the end of the road from my hotel
I was a bit underprepared for this workshop, but I’m gaining inspiration by the moment. It’s been fun to be around a bunch of hopeful writers – all with different levels of experience. From me whose written about 10 pages of a ‘maybe’ novel – to a woman in my class who already has an agent and a completed manuscript.
We’ll see what tomorrow brings. Til then I’ll be writing…
