It’s hard to believe this year is nearly up. I’ll save the list reflection for the end of month 12, but still - the year has flown by. A few more items have been crossed off. Let’s get to them:
#3 Eat or Drink 10 Things I’ve Never Tried Before – COMPLETE!
Somehow I’d never tried bubble tea. If YO'U’VE never tried it either I’ll describe it for you….it’s a sweet milk tea (usually) with sweet tapioca pearls you suck through a giant straw. it’s yum. And I’d never had one. And now I have. You can see the complete list of 'new-to-me-foods’ here.
#5 – Go to an Island – COMPLETE!
As I described in the first installation of my trip to Florida, I made a nighttime trip to what is technically an island just off the coast of Florida. It was late and dark and you could hardly see the ocean, but it was an island, goshdrangit. There is one more potential island to be visited before years end. it is not tropical. No sir. Maybe I’ll tell you about it in a few weeks.
#29 – Spend an Afternoon Lounging at a Pool (sipping cocktails) – COMPLETE-ISH
Described in the second installation of my trip to Florida.
#10 – Redo my bedroom
I repainted the bedroom and bought a new bed this summer. I bought a new side table and curtains and hung some artwork last month. There is still a lot to do, but a transformation has occurred.
Some Before pics (I forgot to snap photos with all the furniture still in place)
and a close-up of that wallpaper
******I have been sick all week and my room is a disaster-zone-sick-bay so no pics at this point, but I wanted to get this post up so the room update will come later!*******************
#30 – Read 40 books (39 BOOKS READ!!!!! 1 to go…)
By the time I post this I’ll have completed this item. yeehaw! Here’s what I read in November
This book was startlingly strange. What was it even about? I’m not sure
Finally found another young adult, apocalyptic series that had been missing from my life! Plus it’s based in Chicago and I can read it half asleep. winning all around
This was a surprise. And a great story of teenage love, loss and self-destruction
Lots of murder and time travel. Also set in Chicago. It upset me many times. maybe you don’t need to read it.
